Satellite is out.
A darkened TV beckons
Why tonight? This sucks.

Mondays have bad shows.
But Six Feet Under begins!
Must I read a book?

Thunderstorm came through.
(Not cause -- box already dead)
Lights flickered, what next?

Time to get some sleep.
Ponder future, past, present.
