More Stories To Please Go Away
1. Joe Wilson. Tempest in a teapot, number one. He's an a-hole, what he did was wrong, and every lawmaker should have voted to give him the administrative rebuke. But trying to tie this to racism, GOP conspiracies, Democratic conspiracies, whatever -- just please go away. This leads to a sideline please go away to...
2. Jimmy Carter. What's up with you throwing out the race card on this issue? I'll cut you a lot of slack for your work for Habitat for Humanity, but really, you're an ex-President, and even though you were extremely well-meaning, one of the least effective ones ever.
3, Kanye West. Another a-hole. But why in God's name is this getting so much airtime? What's saddest -- that he was inexcusably rude and stupid, or that he actually seems to care about the winner of a VMA? It's not the Nobel prize for physics, people. Please go away.
4. All the conspiracy theory nuts surrounding lurid crime stories. (Yes, Nancy Grace, I mean you). Why is it that the public seems to think that if every tiny detail isn't released to the public about an emerging and ongoing criminal investigation, it means that Capitalist America/The Man is behind a huge coverup conspiracy and/or that the police are idiots. The Annie Le case is the latest. For anyone with perspective, this one is going to be solved quickly given the circumstances of the murder, but we still have this pesky thing called due process and establishing evidence. Maybe, just maybe they are focusing their attention on doing their investigation properly rather than satisfying the faux outrage of some shrill TV-talking head harpy?
Okay. Rant over. Need some sleep.
